What our customers say
Why does a baby need a bandana bib?
For the drool that flows in streams when teething begins, for spit-up after breastfeeding, and as a neckerchief to protect against drafts. A baby bandana bib lies double over the chest, soaks up what runs down, and keeps the bodysuit underneath dry. Instead of changing the bodysuit three times a day, you just change the bib. Our bandana bibs consist of two layers of absorbent cotton, have two snaps at the back of the neck, and therefore fit from infancy through toddlerhood.
How can you recognize a good baby bandana bib?
By three things. First, two layers of fabric: one layer is soaked through in half an hour. Second, the closure: snaps hold better than Velcro, which gets caught in hair, and two buttons make the bib size-adjustable. Third, the cut: the point must be long enough to cover the chest, but short enough so the baby does not chew on it. An extra that has proven successful for us is the pacifier strap: a short loop at the tip where a pacifier or teething ring can hang, keeping it off the floor, the stroller, or the shopping cart. As with any pacifier strap, the rule applies: use during the day under supervision, remove at night.
Drool bib, neckerchief, bandana bib: are they all the same?
In everyday life, yes. A drool bib is a small bib for between meals, a neckerchief for babies is a bandana bib with a closure, and both are meant to keep moisture away from the neck and chest. For eating, use a large bib with sleeves or a crumb catcher; for everything else, use the bandana bib. Our bandana bibs are available with a pattern (from €7.99) and solid-colored in shades such as Deep Forest Green, Urban Grey, Blue Pearl, Powder Love Rose, and Soft Sand (€9.99), which match our organic cotton bodysuits and overalls.
How many bandana bibs do you need?
At least three to five to rotate; when teething starts, even more. A dry bib in the diaper bag is worth its weight in gold when you're out and about. The bibs are washable at 40 degrees and dry quickly. As a small gift for a birth, they are a classic combination with muslin cloths and a wash mitt for under €20. Orders leave our warehouse in 2 to 4 business days; shipping within Germany is free on orders over €100.
