What our customers say

Which footmuff fits my stroller?

Almost every footmuff in this collection fits all standard strollers, buggies, and sport seats. The harness system is the deciding factor: our footmuffs have harness slots for 3- and 5-point harnesses; you simply thread the straps through and buckle your child in as usual. The footmuff stays under the child and cannot slip. The only exception is the Carlo footmuff: it only fits in strollers where the harness straps can be detached. Many models such as Oskar, Henry, Benno, and Donny Lux can be adjusted in width via a second zipper (German patent). If your child gets bigger or is wearing a thick winter jacket, you simply make the footmuff wider.

Lambskin, down, or lining: which material for which winter?

A lambskin footmuff such as Nils-cs, Tomy-cs, Henry, or Jens is made of genuine lambskin on the inside. This natural product keeps the baby warm and absorbs moisture. The front part can be removed, and in the spring, you can continue using the lambskin as a liner in the stroller. The down footmuff Donny Lux is lightweight and made for really cold days, Made in Germany. Footmuffs with a warm lining such as the Mucki® L-cs 2.0 or Benno 2.0 are the low-maintenance choice: windproof, water-repellent, and certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

The best-selling buggy footmuff: Mucki® L-cs 2.0

The Mucki® L-cs 2.0 footmuff is our winter footmuff for ages 6 to 36 months. The Muckitex® membrane is breathable and windproof, an inner membrane keeps the rain out, and the mummy-shaped hood protects against drafts. The back opens with a zipper, the foot area is washable on the inside, and thanks to the patent, the width grows with the child. Many parents already recognize the bear face from the Mucki footmuff for infant car seats.

From when does my child need a footmuff in the buggy?

As soon as they sit in the sport seat, usually from about 6 months. Before that, your baby lies in a carrycot or infant car seat; for that, there are shorter footmuffs for newborns. A footmuff for strollers and buggies fits up to about 36 months. If you only want to buy one footmuff for the entire period, take a look at the adjustable footmuffs: Felix 2.0 and Cosmo 2.0 grow from the infant car seat to the buggy.

At what temperature is a footmuff useful?

In the buggy, your child hardly moves and cools down faster than you do while pushing. As a rule of thumb: if you need a jacket yourself, your child needs a footmuff. For autumn days, a footmuff with lining is sufficient; in freezing temperatures, lambskin or down are better at keeping warm. Check the back of the neck from time to time: warm and dry is correct, sweaty means it is too warm. For cold hands, there are matching stroller hand warmers.

Footmuffs for strollers and buggies: prices and manufacturing

Oskar, Carlo, and Donny Lux are manufactured in Germany. All footmuffs are developed by Odenwälder BabyNest, a family business from the Odenwald region.
