What our customers say

Which footmuff for which age?

The right footmuff depends on where your child is sitting. For 0 to 6 months in an infant car seat, carrycot, or soft carrycot, choose a shorter footmuff for newborns. For 6 to 36 months in a stroller seat or buggy, you need a longer footmuff for strollers and buggies. If you only want to buy one footmuff, choose an extendable footmuff for 0 to 36 months, such as the Felix 2.0 or Cosmo 2.0.

Footmuff for the infant car seat

Fit is what counts in an infant car seat: our footmuffs fit all group 0 car seats, with the harness passing through the belt slots to sit directly against the body. With Mucki® 2.0, Theo, and Benno 2.0, the seat part is extended (patented) so that the footmuff fits well and lasts longer. Our best-seller is the Mucki® 2.0 footmuff with a bear face and windproof bottom, certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. For winter in the infant car seat, there is the Theo made of real lambskin.

Down footmuff: lightweight and very warm

Our down footmuff Donny Lux is made for strollers and buggies and is intended for really cold days. Down provides warmth while remaining lightweight. The Donny Lux is windproof, water-repellent, adjustable in width via a second zipper (German patent), features non-slip material in the seat, and has a washable interior foot area. It is manufactured in Germany.

Lambskin footmuff: a natural material with two lives

In our lambskin footmuffs such as the Nils-cs, Tomy-cs, Jens, and the Theo footmuff, the interior is made of real lambskin. The front section can be removed: in winter, it is a footmuff; in spring, it becomes a lambskin liner for the stroller or infant car seat. All are windproof and water-repellent.

What to look for when buying a footmuff

First, the harness system: belt slots for 3- and 5-point harnesses ensure the footmuff fits your stroller. Second, the width: width-adjustable models even fit over thick jackets. Third, entry: a zipper that goes down to the bottom or a back that opens makes it easier to seat your child. Fourth, care: many models have a washable interior foot area. Fifth, the material: Mucki® 2.0, Mucki® L-cs 2.0, Felix 2.0, and Benno 2.0 are certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. Matching stroller hand warmers are also available for warm hands.

Frequently asked questions

Which footmuff for the infant car seat, which for the buggy?

Use a shorter footmuff for infant car seats and carrycots (0 to 6 months), and a longer footmuff for stroller seats and buggies (6 to 36 months). Extendable models like the Felix 2.0 fit from 0 to 36 months.

Down or lambskin: which footmuff is better?

Down is lightweight and very warm, ideal for cold days in a buggy. Lambskin is a natural material that retains heat and absorbs moisture; the front part can be detached and used as a liner.

Is an extendable footmuff worth it?

Yes, if you only want to buy one footmuff. The Felix 2.0 starts as a footmuff for the infant car seat and can be transformed into a long footmuff for a buggy using a zipper at the bottom.

Does the footmuff fit my stroller?

Our footmuffs fit all standard strollers, buggies, and infant car seats with a 3- or 5-point harness. The belts run through the belt slots so the footmuff does not slip.

Are the footmuffs tested for harmful substances?

Mucki® 2.0, Mucki® L-cs 2.0, Felix 2.0, Benno 2.0, and Cosmo 2.0 are certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. This information is provided for every model on its product page.
